From: Date: Wed, 8 Jul 1998 14:11:09 EDT Subject: RPG on Ice Roland was cold. Damn cold. The fur coat he'd bought in Iji was nowhere near as warm as the shopkeeper had claimed. Go figure. A dishonest merchant. He'd been walking north since he'd parted company with Shinji and Teri. He often wondered whether or not they were still alive. That girl seemed to attract trouble. Another big surprise. Women led to trouble... He wasn't quite sure WHY he was walking north.... call it a hunch. His supplies were low but he still had enough to turn around, should he want to head back towards Iji. Or he could keep walking. He stopped. His head told him to go back. What was the point in dying in the middle of some frozen wasteland where nobody would ever find his body? His instincts told him to keep going. It seemed that he rarely agreed with himself. At least it made life interesting. Roland started paying attention again and noticed that he was still walking north. "Must be a sign." Putting away his compass Roland chanted a focusing meditation. Nothing was alive to hear the strangely muttered words.
